John P. Sexton

John P. Sexton (Editorial Board Member) is Associate Professor of English at Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. He holds a Ph.D. in Medieval Studies from the University of Connecticut. His professional interests include hagiography, early law codes, English literature and culture of the “long” 14th century, and medieval Scandinavian literature. He is co-founder of the New England Saga Society, a professional organization dedicated to the promotion of saga studies in North America. Prof. Sexton has published on various topics including The Canterbury Tales, Anglo-Saxon hagiographical literature, and Icelandic sagas. He is currently pursuing a project on the intersections of law and hagiography in medieval England.
