John Barton and the RSC ran nine workshops on Shakespeare and acting, and put these classes to film, in the 1980s. Hence, actor insight is married to scholarly approach and vice versa.
Video 6 of 9 (above) focuses on how the emotion of the text can often be lost in actor interpretation. Hence, one must find balance to suit the word to the action and the action to the word.
